The NXP 8M Plus NavQ+ starter kit is assembled as a two-board stack. This kit, when assembled together, presents an i.MX 8M Plus-based embedded computer with MIPI-CSI2 vision, composed of the following stacked hardware modules:
- Emcraft i.MX 8M Plus System-On-Module (SOM), in the following configuration: i.MX 8M Plus Quad, 8GB LPDDR4, 32GB eMMC, Commercial Temp range. The SOM is an off-the-shelf embedded computer module, which comes pre-loaded with Linux, allowing for immediate development of mobile robotics applications.
- The NAVQ+ base board is a second board in the stack, which provides various UI, multimedia and I/O interfaces, specifically: 2 USB 3.0, WiFi/BT, Gigabit Ethernet, 2 MIPI CSI, MIPI DSI, 2 LVDS, PCIe, 2 CAN, HDMI,100BASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet, NFC.

The following additional items are included in the kit:
- USB-to-UART converter "dongle";
- WiFi Antenna;
- USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable;
- Power Input cable, SYR 2 Pins to GHR 5 pins;
- IX Industrial IP20 to IX RJ45 acble;
- 2 CAN cables;
- 2wire Data cable.
SOM
i.MX 8M Plus System-on-Module

The Emcraft i.MX 8M Plus System-On-Module (SOM) is a miniature mezzanine module (58.4mm x 58.4mm) that combines the NXP i.MX 8M Plus multi-core application processor with 4-8GB LPDDR4, 32GB eMMC on a single board. The i.MX 8M Plus features up to four Cortex-A53 processor cores running at 1.8GHz and a Cortex-M7 core at 800MHz for low-power and real-time operation, with 1080p video encode and decode, 2D and 3D graphics, display and camera interfaces, multi-channel audio and advanced I/O connectivity. The i.MX 8M Plus processor I/O interfaces are available for a carrier board on the two board-to-board connectors.
